Dr. Cynthia Payne has been caring for the eyes — and the lives — of Las Vegas residents since 2007. After earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry, she set her sights on building something different: not just an eye clinic, but a true boutique experience where expert medical care and personal style come together.
She founded Trendsetter Eyewear in Summerlin with a simple but powerful vision: that every patient deserves to see clearly and look beautiful doing it. Over the decades, she has built a loyal community of patients who return year after year — not just for their prescriptions, but for the relationship.
As optometry evolved, so did Dr. Payne. She pursued advanced training in Dry Eye Disease management, becoming one of the few practitioners in Las Vegas to offer a dedicated Dry Eye Spa with the latest treatment technology. She also received training in NeuroVisual Medicine, a specialized field that uses micro-prism lenses to treat Binocular Vision Dysfunction — a condition that causes headaches, dizziness, and reading difficulties in millions of people who have never been properly diagnosed.
Today, Dr. Payne continues to see patients with the same warmth, curiosity, and commitment to excellence that has defined her career from the very beginning.

Dr. Cynthia Payne is the founder of Trendsetter Eyewear and one of Las Vegas's most respected optometrists. After earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry, she built a practice rooted in the belief that exceptional eye care and personal style are not mutually exclusive.
With over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Payne has pursued advanced training in two highly specialized fields: Dry Eye Disease management — offering one of the most comprehensive Dry Eye Spa programs in the region — and NeuroVisual Medicine, where she uses micro-prism lenses to treat Binocular Vision Dysfunction, a condition that causes headaches, dizziness, and reading difficulties in millions of undiagnosed patients.
Her patients describe her as thorough, warm, and genuinely invested in their wellbeing. She takes the time to listen, to explain, and to ensure every patient leaves with a clear understanding of their eye health and a plan that fits their life.
A native of East Tennessee, Dr. Payne honed her clinical skills in Nashville before relocating to Las Vegas in 2007, where she has built a loyal patient community over nearly two decades. Outside the office, she is devoted to her family, and finds balance through reading and travel.
Grady "Chip" Williams Jr.
Chip Williams brings a rare combination of technical precision and genuine personal style to the art of optical dispensing. Trained at a young age by his optometrist father, Chip has spent 50 years in the optical field — a lifetime of expertise that shows in every frame fitting and lens recommendation he makes.
With deep mastery of luxury frame fitting, progressive lens design, and specialty lens applications, Chip works closely with each patient to find the frame that flatters their face shape, suits their lifestyle, and reflects their personality. He has an eye for detail and a gift for making people feel confident in their eyewear.
A native of southern Louisiana, Chip brings warmth and character to everything he does. Outside the office, he is an avid mountain biker and dirt bike rider, a regular at car shows, and on a perpetual mission to find the best food Las Vegas has to offer.
Daniel Gaytan
Daniel Gaytan is the welcoming face of Trendsetter Eyewear — the team member who ensures every patient feels at ease from the moment they walk through the door. With a natural warmth and a genuine passion for helping people look and feel their best, Daniel plays a vital role in the Trendsetter experience.
As an optical associate, Daniel assists patients with frame selection, helps coordinate appointments, and supports the clinical team in delivering seamless, personalized care. His bilingual ability in English and Spanish allows Trendsetter Eyewear to serve a broader range of the Las Vegas community with the same high standard of care.
Daniel's commitment to the patient experience goes beyond the transaction. He takes pride in building relationships, remembering faces, and making sure every visit to Trendsetter Eyewear feels less like a medical appointment and more like a visit with people who genuinely care about you.
A proud Las Vegas native, Daniel has a deep connection to this city and its community. Outside the office, he stays active through running and mountain climbing, recharges at live music events, and above all, cherishes time with his family.
