The most versatile face shape.
Oval faces have balanced proportions — slightly wider at the cheekbones, gently narrowing at the forehead and jaw. Almost any frame style works beautifully. The main rule: avoid frames that are too large or too narrow, which can disrupt the natural balance.
Frame width should roughly match your face width. Most standard sizes (50–54mm lens width) work well.

Angular frames add definition and length.
Round faces have soft curves with similar width and length measurements and full cheeks. Angular, rectangular, and geometric frames create contrast that adds definition and makes the face appear longer and slimmer.
Choose frames that are wider than they are tall. A strong horizontal line across the top of the frame is particularly flattering.

Balance a wider forehead with bottom-heavy frames.
Heart-shaped faces are wider at the forehead and temples, tapering to a narrower chin. The goal is to add visual weight to the lower half of the face. Bottom-heavy frames, rimless styles, and frames with low-set temples achieve this beautifully.
Choose frames that are wider at the bottom than the top. Lighter materials and colors draw less attention to the forehead.

Oblong
Oversized frames add width and break up facial length.
Oblong (or rectangular) faces are longer than they are wide, with a long straight cheek line. Deep, oversized frames add width and break up the vertical length of the face. Decorative temples also help by drawing the eye horizontally.
Look for frames with a lens height of 40mm or more. Wide frames that extend to or slightly beyond the temples are ideal.
